Solitude is a complex emotion. In traditional aesthetics, it allows one to gain deeper self-awareness and perceive the interconnectedness of all things more clearly. Solitude permeates every corner of traditional aesthetics, manifesting in various forms. It brings more contemplation and weight, yet most people find it difficult to coexist with it.
It is like translucent mist or snowflakes drifting through a gray-green forest, elusive yet overwhelming like a tidal wave. The human tendency to project emotions onto objects is unique, with one's state of mind shifting with the environment and the world reflected in one's gaze. Like the subtlest changes in feelings, colors are light; whether in moments of togetherness or solitude, upon careful reflection, its existence is intertwined with silent depth and countless memories, belonging only to you.
Our first piece begins with the Japanese aesthetic concept of "vertical and horizontal" to re-examine the beautiful emotion of Solitude. It combines clean forms with rich color variations, embodying timeless concepts and a sense of lightness.
We have selected the native Japanese Itayakaede, a rare wood known for its unique luster and grain. Kyoto's yuzen dyeing, with a 1000-year tradition, offers incredible softness through its ever-changing colors and silk textures. The chair is completed by Japanese master craftsmen using the Edo woodworking technique.
